A mystery letter in the mail...

One day a large envelope came to our school.  It was addressed to our class!  The children had no idea what it was.  The return address was from a place they had never heard of.  I opened it up and read the letter on the inside.

Good Morning!  We are at the ECEC in room 8.  We are 4, 5, and 6 years old  We like magnatiles, our toys, to build, play outside, and our restaurant names Great 8 Eats!  What do you like to do?


As a class, we discussed the letter and compared their words to our thoughts.  We liked to build too!  Along with the letter came individual pieces of paper written by each student.  I read through the pages and we got to know the new children.  

We had to respond!  We talked about how to write a letter.  Then then we answered their questions.  Then we asked a new one!  

We are patiently waiting for their response.
